The members of San Diego United Netball Club are launching a 4-week pilot netball program at the Mission Valley YMCA beginning July 11th.
This is your chance America to play a game that's actually the number one most played women's sport in the world! These days netball is played all over the world, predominantly in Commonwealth countries, by both men and women with mixed leagues popping up everywhere.
So what is netball? In a nutshell, netball is similar to Ultimate Frisbee but with a ball and a hoop – think basketball with a smaller ball and hoop, no backboard and less contact. Only two players per team shoot so you don't need to be Jordan to play. The best way to learn about it is to see it in action. Here are a couple links to check out:

We find that most basketball players take to netball naturally but if you love ball sports and fast-paced, competitive action then netball is for you!
Bring a friend and come down and give it a go.
Trust us – you won’t regret it! |
